Dev Notes Alpha 0.0.2


In the dark dungeon, the humid atmosphere makes the walls drip. There's a peaceful atmosphere to the place - but for how long.

Hi!

Just put the latest version of the game up and here's what's in it:

⦁ 7 new creatures and monsters (Insects, Snakes, Spiders, Demons, Zombies, Skeletons and Ichy Slimes).

⦁ Equipment and equipping it. Added 3 swords and 3 sets of armor for now, but I want the equipment to be more intricate than it currently is. (Right now you equip it from the inventory and you drop to the ground whatever you were wearing in that slot.)

⦁ Fixed up the system that spawns difficulty appropriate creatures per floor.

⦁ Pile of rubble and corpses added - currently just for flavour, although you can pickup the rubble and it crumbles.

⦁ Balanced the stats of the new equipment, starting equipment and monsters stats.

I mentioned in the sticky post on the forum that I'm thinking of changing the game engine at some point, but right now my next priorties are:

⦁ Making more interesting AI for the monsters giving them some personality and strategic thinking. Also properly implimenting the confusion state from ages ago.

⦁ Making the text log better. Needs a ton of changes but I want it to be more intuative and easy to glance at.
